Cabinet Hardware Trends for 2026 (and How to Use Them)
Oct 28,2026 | MATOOYA Hardware
Hardware is the jewelry of a room, and it's also the easiest thing to change. If you're planning a refresh this year, these are the cabinet hardware trends that are actually showing up in real kitchens and bedrooms, not just on showroom walls, with simple ways to use each one.
1. Long, linear pulls
Oversized hardware is everywhere: long, slim pulls that run most of the way across a drawer, or tall pulls on pantry doors. They make a kitchen look custom and give a strong horizontal line that pairs beautifully with flat slab doors.
How to use it: pick one long size for every wide drawer, and a shorter pull in the same style for doors. Two lengths, one profile. Our Extra Long Cabinet Pulls go up to 1200mm.

Long, slim pulls in a warm brushed finish tick two trends at once.
2. Warm metals
Brushed gold, bronze and brass have overtaken cool chrome. They warm up white and gray cabinets and look especially good against wood, green and navy.
How to use it: a brushed finish hides fingerprints better than a mirror-polished one, so it's the better choice for a busy kitchen.
3. Mixed metals, done on purpose
Black faucet, gold pulls. Brass knobs on the island, black on the perimeter. Mixing metals now reads as intentional rather than accidental.
How to use it: stick to two finishes and repeat each one at least twice in the room so it looks planned.
4. The handle-free look
Edge pulls and finger pulls keep the face of the cabinet completely clean. They're a favorite for minimalist kitchens, wardrobes and kids' rooms where there's nothing sticking out to bump into. Browse them in our Hidden & Finger Edge Pulls collection.

Edge pulls keep the cabinet face clean.
5. Nature-inspired and whimsical knobs
Leaves, flowers, butterflies, bees and animals are having a moment, especially on dressers, vanities and in nurseries. They add personality in a way plain round knobs can't, and they're a big part of the "collected, not decorated" look.
How to use it: use statement knobs on furniture and smaller pieces, and keep the main kitchen run simpler, unless you love maximalism. See our Botanical & Nature and Animal knob collections.
Nature-inspired knobs: bee, ginkgo leaf and rabbit.
6. Texture and natural materials
Knurled, ribbed and hammered metal, plus leather and wood, add something to touch. Leather pulls with metal ends are a quiet, upscale choice for kitchens and wardrobes.
Is any of this going to look dated?
Every trend fades eventually, but hardware is the cheapest and easiest part of a kitchen to swap. That's exactly why it's the right place to try something new. Keep the cabinets and countertops timeless, and let the hardware carry the personality.
